A hiking group reconnoiters atop Kearsarge North (White Mountains, NH) in December 2004. The shadowed hikers contrast with the rime-encrusted tower, while hiker poles mimic the tower's hard lines. Technically it's still (barely) fall -- but it sure looks like winter!
