group lunch on a Beal Island canoe trip in Maine in August 1986

Our group stops for lunch on an island in Sheepscot Bay. Fog is a navigation hazard, sometimes hiding the shoreline entirely. On one trip, the combination of fast tide and pea-soup fog drove us a mile off course before we figured out where we were; then we hugged the shoreline back to Beal.
