a herd of wildebeest accompanied by zebras migrates in search of grass at Serengeti National Park in Tanzania

The dominant species on the Serengeti Plain is the wildebeest. It is also known as "gnu": a weird-looking beast by any name. Huge wildebeest herds, usually accompanied by lesser numbers of zebra, migrate seasonally in search of grass. The spectacle of a million wildebeest on the move is awesome.
