grounded boat at low tide in Nova Scotia in June 1998

This boat is not scuttled, it is just awaiting high tide at Alma Harbor, Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick, where the highest tide in the world (40 feet) is too great to permit normal dockage. The fishing boats routinely dock up this way (with a protective support system underneath), and all boating is timed with the tide (go out at high tide and come back at high tide!).
