Mt. Morris Dam, a dry dam intended to occasionally hold back water, at Letchworth State Park in New York

At the far north end of the park (17 miles from Upper Falls) is Mt. Morris Dam, completed in 1952. It is 1028 feet wide and 245 feet tall, a "dry dam" intended to occasionally hold water back to prevent flooding. It was used in 1972 to create the prior photo.
