Not being one to miss an opportunity, I also spied out ths Alternate-Leaved Dogwood (Cornus alternifolia).

Distinguishing characteristics include: flowers with 4 petals arranged in a flat-top cluster; and leaves with less than 7 veins and green leafstalks, arranged alternately on the stem.
