The fauna were fine-looking, too. This Garter Snake seemed as interested in me as I was in him. I also got to see a peregrine falcon chick through the spotting scope of a naturalist who was monitoring the nest on Square Ledge. The view from the Square Ledge lookout was disappointing, however, partly because showery weather reduced the distant view.
