There are many Eastern Comma (Polygonia comma) butterflies on the lumber road. This one politely posed for photos, with sunlight accentuating its color. Eastern Comma is distinguished from its near-cousin Question Mark by pretty subtle markings, such as 5 small black spots around a larger one on the forewing top (as opposed to 6 such spots on the Question Mark).
