We drove in the Penobscot Indian Nation access road, hiked ATV paths to Snow Mountain Pond, then followed the old lookout tower trail to the summit. The access road travel is about 5 miles one-way. The hike is about 7 miles round-trip.

Back at our car, we find these White Admiral butterflies mobbing the dirt road.
