Chuck H., David R. and Fred did a bushwhack to Scar Ridge, Middle Peak (3500-ft; White Mountains, NH) in August 2007. We went in from the north (off the Kancamagus Highway), where the first thing we had to do was cross the Hancock Branch of the Pemigewasset River. Fortunately water level was low, but David still pauses to pick his next step.
