moonrise over Mount Washington as seen from the Red Bench

Paul and Fred hiked to the Red Bench outlook to photograph moonrise over Mt. Washington in January 2006.

From this vantage point the rising full moon dwarfs the summit buildings.

The Red Bench outlook is in Crawford Notch, beyond Ammonoosuc Lake, just north of AMC's Highland Center.
