Yankee Siege trebuchet for throwing pumpkins near Pinnacle Mountain in southern New Hampshire

Next we join the crowd to witness the pumpkin toss. This is the trebuchet device that does the tossing. The worker is about to load a pumpkin in the underneath trough, connected to the trebuchet tip via a sling and long cable. When the tip is released, the 11,500-pound counterweight comes down and the pumpkin takes a LONG ride, way past the castle!
