Pilewort (Erechtites hieracifolia) in June at Goffstown in southern New Hampshire

Mixed in with all the garden flowers is an invasive weed: Pilewort (Erechtites hieracifolia), also called American Burnweed. These little yellow (often white) flowers clusters never open wide -- the cluster to the right is about all you get before it matures into the dandelion-like spherical tuft of seeds shown in the center.
