ants swarming over a European Buckthron berry in November at Nashua, New Hampshire

In November 2008 I wandered around Nashua, NH, near the Merrimack River. A swarm of ants is all over this European Buckthorn (Rhamnus frangula) berry -- the two ants near the stem are up to their waists into a hole in the berry's skin. Must be good eats, perhaps fermented!
