Chuck H., Fred and Len hiked Mt. Monadnock in late March 2007 via the Pumpelly Trail. We encountered typical spring trail conditions: alternating sections of dirt, ledge, water, slush, snow and ice.

From a near-summit ledge Len and Chuck look over Thorndike Pond toward the distant Pack Monadnocks (North Pack to the left and South Pack to the right). Great views today!
