Here is a tough flower to identify.

I am pretty sure it is Salt-marsh Sand Spurry (Spergularia salina), even though we are nowhere near a sandy ocean beach.

As far as I can tell there is just this one plant here; and it is so tiny (each flower is less than 1/4-inch across) I almost missed it.
