| A close-up of the Milkweed flower shows the old truism: where there are flowers, there are bugs! In this case it is a Small Eastern Milkweed Bug (Lygaeus kalmii). This bug feeds on milkweed seeds; it is immune to toxic chemicals in Milkweed but is itself toxic to other insect predators. |
