| At trailside is this relatively-cute slime mold, Red Raspberry Slime (Tubifera ferruginosa). Pink is young; dark-brown is mature. If you look at the small pink pieces to the right (often more red), they sometimes look like a Red Raspberry. Slime molds are not anchored -- they crawl around (very slowly). |
