Michelle K., Tom and Fred hiked the Monroe Trail to Camel's Hump (4083-ft) and the Long Trail to Mt. Mansfield (4393-ft; Vermont) in August 2002. Our aggressive two-mountain hiking plan made for a long day: I left home at 5 am and did not get back until after 10 pm.

Michelle photographs Mansfield's "nose" (adorned with antennas) from her perch atop the "chin." The gondola for the Stowe ski area (hidden from this view by summit rocks) ascends to the ridge between nose and chin.
