Seven of us (Al, Dick, Ed, Fred, Helen, Ned and Rebecca) hiked Franconia Ridge for full-moon-rise and sunset in October 2004. Ten minutes before moonrise we got this beautiful view from atop Mt. Lafayette. Then -- BLAM! -- clouds rolled in from the north like a freight train: wild, unpredictable, uncivilized; and no view at all!
