| Some of our hikers chat with another group at the trail junction just below Jefferson's summit. It is a beautiful winter day: sunny and calm. The warm weather has one unfortunate effect, though: on the way back down the Jewell Trail we are post-holing through the softened crust even in our snowshoes (yuck)! |
