| Thirteen of us hiked Mount Jackson (4052-ft; White Mountains, NH) in February 2003. The wind -- gusting to 50 mph -- is inhospitable, so we don't linger long on the exposed summit. Coming down we have to protect our faces as we walk directly into the wind. |
