Thirteen of us (Mitch, Bill, Carl, Fred, Jonathan, Leon, Mike, Nancy, Rebecca, Rick, Sarah, Sue and Tom ) hiked Mt. Jackson (4052-ft; White Mountains, NH) in February 2003.

The wind -- gusting to 50 mph -- was inhospitable, so we didn't linger long on the exposed summit.

Coming down we had to protect our faces as we walked directly into the wind.
