winter bushwhack to Mount Hitchcock in New Hampshire

David R. and Fred bushwhacked to Mount Hitchcock (3620-ft; White Mountains, NH) in February 2006. We take a direct route through open woods from the Lincoln Woods parking lot to West Peak (3064-ft), then over the col to Mount Hitchcock ("Middle Peak"). [Favoring the northern side of the col avoids a nasty blowdown area!] David checks his GPS enroute, with the Osceolas and Scar Ridge visible through the woods (across the Kancamagus) in the background.
