canister on the summit of Bartlett Haystack Mountain in New Hampshire

Chuck and Fred bushwhacked to Bartlett Haystack (2980-ft; White Mountains, NH) in November 2007.

We went in FR44 to the bend, walked up an old logging road, then whacked to the summit through mostly open woods.

Here's the summit canister, 30 feet west of which is a fabulous ledge view (see next photos).
