Bugs!!!

Those little black dots that look like dust on this crop from a Zealand Notch photo (taken from Zealand Falls Hut) are black flies.

On the full-size photo I counted 147 of the nasty little rascals (circling just downwind of my head).

That's an all-time photo-capture record -- by far!

It's a wonder we hardly got bitten at all (whew!).
