Bascom Lodge on the summit of Mount Greylock in western Massachusetts

Bascom Lodge is closed while the summit road is under reconstruction -- a loss to those who might otherwise be up here enjoying the mountain. We only encounter one other visitor to this fine (but roadless) summit.
