| In the center area of the park is an American Plane Tree (Platanus occidentalis), also know as Sycamore. The bark up higher on younger limbs peels in plates, leaving whitish patches; and the fruit is a weird ball that hangs like a Christmas-tree ornament. It's hard to mistake this tree for anything else! |
