Honey Locust (Gleditsia triacanthos)

Honey Locust (Gleditsia triacanthos) has delicate foliage. Because the leaflets are tiny, this tree is often planted by sidewalks to ease fall cleanup. The scientific name "triacanthus" means "three-thorned"; but this and most cultivated specimens are the "thornless" variation -- hey, who wants trees with thorns in their yard!
