a huge school of baby fish -- probably Rainbow Smelt (Osmerus mordax) -- schooling in the 
near-shore shallow water of Dublin Lake in southern New Hampshire

Here is just a small part of the big picture: there is a HUGE number (maybe 100,000) of these little guys (each about an inch long) crowding the shoreline. Amazing!
