Lance, Ryzek and Carl approach the ultra-modern wastewater treatment plant on Deer Island near Boston Harbor in Massachusetts

Carl, Fred, Lance and Ryzek visited Deer Island (Boston Harbor Islands, MA) in June 2015. We walk toward the ultra-modern wastewater treatment plant which has transformed Boston Harbor from filthy (in the 1980s) to now clean. Facilities include digesters (those huge eggs) to clean sewage, and a 9.5-mile under-water tunnel to disperse the almost-pure outflow.
