Chuck H. and Fred did a bushwhack to Millen Hill (3355-ft) and Mt. Dartmouth (3727-ft; White Mountains, NH) in August 2006. We went in from the Caps Ridge Trail parking lot and whacked 4 miles roundtrip in 7 hours through consistently poor terrain. On the way down we slabbed along the north shoulder of the ridge which was marginally better.

I snapped a photo at hike start while Chuck suits up. You can tell we picked a popular hike on a popular day by the crowd in the parking lot.
