Ten of us (Carl, Jadwiga, Chris, Dave, Fred, Lyla, Marianne, Mike, Sue and Tom) did a loop hike over Mount Crescent (3251-ft) and Mount Randolph (3081-ft; near Gorham, NH) on a Thursday in early December.

Even with an overcast sky, the view south toward Mount Madison (left) and Mount Adams (right) is dramatic.
