About 60 of us stayed at AMC's Cardigan Lodge in March 2002. We hiked Mt. Cardigan (3155-ft; Cardigan Mountain State Forest, NH), Firescrew Mtn. (3064-ft) and Orange Mtn. (2684-ft; also called "Mt. Gilman").

The bare summit of Cardigan provides a great view of the surrounding valley.
