| At the east end of the Bikeway I opt to continue on foot out onto the North Breakwater. This huge rocky outcrop was built to keep sand from nextdoor Scusset Beach (to the left) from drifting in and blocking the Canal (to the right). The Canal is 32 feet deep. |
