I hiked to Lonesome Lake for full-moon-rise in January 2007. Dissipating clouds conceal Franconia Ridge, but the twilight panoramic view is still magnificent!

The next day I found out that another hiker died on Mt. Monadnock that same night, hiking down the Pumpelly Trail by moonlight -- a tragedy for his hiking companions, family and friends.
