In case you were wondering how much snow remains way north in NH in mid April at 3000 feet, here's a photo of the snow-buried outhouse near the Baldhead lean-to.

For most of the hike we snowshoed easily atop a crusty surface; but in some spots the snow was beginning to rot and we postholed down.
