Twelve of us (Mitch, Hal, Bill, Dan, Ed, Fred, Larry, Leon, Nancy, Rick, Sarah and Tom) hiked Mt. Adams (5774-ft; White Mountains, NH) and Mt. John Quincy Adams (5394-ft) on a Wednesday in May 2002. We stopped for lunch on the leeward side of Adams.

Tom and Larry head down the Airline Trail. In early May we had beautiful weather and little remaining snow; but we also encountered our first black flies of the season(!).
